For me the dreaded integrated headset. Despite supposedly looking sleak I think it makes the head tube look bulky and pig-ugly.

I'm with Chris King on this one and think that they are only for the convenience of the manufacturer.

Shimano road STi's are pig-ugly as well (but very nice to use!).

External BB bearings and octalink / ISIS etc , I have just got my head around chain lines and axle lengths for tapered cranks. If it ain't broke ...

The quality of seals/bearings used in headsets.

Girlfriend bought a new C'dale F5 in August, replaced bearings in November and had to get a new headset in January! Yeah not an overly expensive bike and an unbranded headset, so the parts aren't range topping but that is quite poor!

I got a Marin Rocky Ridge in November, headset serviced and stripped at its first service in January, now it also needs replacing! You expect a bit better from a branded headset or at least sealed bearings on a bike that expensive!

Guess you don't wanna try my Orange 5 on the next local ride I come on ;)

The thing that I don't like are the stupidly wide bars that are in fashion this week, some are well over 700mm wide

Perfectly describes my new build

The thing that bugs me on new bikes are the BB's, I like my square tapers ;)
