....to mix a Shimano XT rear trigger and rear mech with an SRAM X.0 front trigger and X.9 front mech?

Will I be condemnded to burn in the firey pits of hell for doing this?
 
Not in my books it isn't

You can run any front mech with any shifter as well, it's only the rear mech's that you have to be wary of, although Sram Attack & Rocket work with Shimano rear mechs, it's the X series of Sram shifters that only work with Sram rear mech's
 
I feel all Shi*mano users are damned to hell anyway!

Ooooohhhkay - well the proof of the 'mixed pudding' remains to be seen.....just getting the bits together as I type.
