Just won one on the bay.

Does anyone know anything about them? When were they made, how to fit them, etc. :?

jah!

they are a bit if a pain, you need a SFN as per normal, you then clamp the separate cup thingy loosely to the top of the steerer with the SFN, and then you bolt the stem to the cup with the three bolts, and then (!) you tighten down the SFN nut which will expand the cup into the stem and tighten, and then you tighten the other three bolts.

Simple!

yup, they look cool, feel stiff and are nicely made, were very expensive bitd if i recall, another example of Avid's superb R&R and ability to knock out a great bit of kit (Im an arch supreme fan!)

Good luck finding one.

I take it that this means it's rare then? Probably explains why there was only 3 bids on it (not that I'm complaining though). ;)
