Just lost a auction through Gixen

Nothing important really, pair of tyres that I had a cheeky bid on

I bid £13.01 and they went for £12.51

Looked on my Gixen page and it says "Bid under asking price"? :?

Anyone else had this before, be well pi@@ed if it was something I had been REALLY after?

hmmm. Usually works for me. Is it anything to do with the fact that at that price the increment would be 50p and you need to bid more than 50p more to secure the auction? i.e. 51p would have done it?

it's not enough that your bid is higher; it has to be higher for a certain increment over the current high bid. Please see http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/bid-increments.html and you will understand.

Gixen is a sniper for ebay :D [/quote]
