took my 76 mexico out of the garage for the first time since sept 97. fresh fuel charged battery started 3rd turn of the key.i,d forgot how quick it was engine spec
cossy block and crank
v6 conrods and pistons
group 4 head
modified twin 40 dcoe,s
full tarmac set up
its like riding a bloody gokart

Always fancied a Mk3 RS Turbo myself. Would have had one by now but need to store it somewhere

I had what purported to be an Escort Mk I GT from 1973. I was travelling in New Zealand and bought it to go round North Island. It had been imported from the UK in 1986 (this was now 1990). It was orange and had alloy wheels. I was told it can't have been a GT as Escorts didn't come in that flavour. I don't know as I'm not a real car expert. It was a nice car though - had all the oil pressure/temp gauges and a straight through exhaust.
