Has anyone been on these one day rally course expriences?
The missus fancies a rally course for birthday as its something she has always wanted to do. She wants a proper experience in a 4 wheel drive chav car (imprezza, evo) on gravel but as close to shropshire as we can. The local courses are tarmac or gravel in a peugeot 106 which she is not impressed with!
So anyone got any recomendations or do we have drive up to yorkshire?

Wales !!! Phil Price Rally School ..... You wont beat it !!! ;)

You get to drive on part of the existing Welsh RAC Lombard Rally in Escort Cosworths !!! The only 4WD rally car you need :D

I did an "everyman" day at mallory park a few years ago and it was ok.
Your there for about 7 hours but only get about an hour and a halfs driving in.

Its ok if you really want to have a bit of fun, but its not the real deal.

But then I'm spoilt because the mrs's family are heavily into the uk rally scene and her dad teaches driving here :-

Another vote for Phil Price, good stage, decent cars and a nice laid back vibe. The Higginses ran a place in mid Wales too- don't know if it's still going but was probably the best- I had a day down there when I switched to FWD a few years back. Shame I don't have the time or money to put it in practice!

I went on the Prodrive driving day with work, did the high speed track, tarmac rally stage, skidpan and off-road 4x4 course. Tarmac rally was brilliant it's the only time I've managed to make myself feel car sick whilst driving
