How to ship non-folding tires

Got a set for sale, need to know how to ship it to an interested buyer. I've read you can still bend the wire bead, and reshape it after the fact and let it settle on rim for a day. Is this true, or is there another/better way?

These are an old set of retro tires, so I don't want to risk destroying them.

You have to loop them into three, that way they will twirl up nicely.

Start to fold into two, then grab one bit of the middle, hold the rest under your arm and a quick flick of the wrist...

..then tape up quickly - have a bit ready!

Hamster is right that is the only way to do it.

Don't fold it in half

As the guys say, don't bend or fold the wire in any way as it will never go back. Form a figure of eight with the tyre and then fold the two tops in together, instantly half the size!
