So, work might be shipping me off there for Sun-Tues and it's 12 years since I was last in the States and I haven't been to Detroit before.

Anyone have any advice or anything?

Only thing I would mention is that you now have to apply for an online visa before visiting the US - came into effect on Jan 12th

https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov

Apply at least 72 hours before you leave
