Is there a Paint...

I can use on 'high impact' areas? I shall explain. Having chalked up nearly 200 miles this year all on the road in some cold (and therefore) salty conditions I have given the road bike a real going over. Alas (and indeed alack), there is rust eating into Reynold's finest.
Most of it is in hard wearing places like the dropouts and the bits where that jagged washer stops the caliper brakes rotating.
I have removed all the rust spots I can see and painted with one of those rust converters. Now what to put on top? I thought candle wax? This will keep water and salt at bay but perhaps not all rub off the moment I refit the wheels? Or am I worried over nowt?

A good squirt with WD40 once a week works a treat- just keep it away from the rims!
