 Post subject: HONC warm up today!!

Went out for a blast around the cotswolds earlier, Did about 17 miles and it was bloody freezing -3 when I headed off and -4 when I got back :shock:

I believe it to be along some of the route of the HONC

They were taken between Cold Aston -Turkdean and Hazleton

It was a great track be back for sure without the Ice though :D

Never had my camelbac freeze up before .... The sucky bit turned to ice :shock:

That is wise words .... I noticed that I need warmer gloves and thicker socks ... Body wise I was fine .... Ooohh my forehead got numb aswell :D

try loosening your shoes rather than thicker socks, as this will increase your circulation. ptroblem is when you put your shoes on your feet are cold, so small. then they get hot from exercise, then swell and cut off circulation. cycling is very different to walking so your shoes don't have to be as tight, as heel lift isn't as much of a problem. oh and buy a buff for your forehead!
