Hiya, I'm looking at new m*%&rn frames and want the Geometry right this time, On my 2004 White Bros DT1.2 forks I flipped a widget inside to take travel from 120mm to 100 as its meant to but still at 490mm long (axle to crown, they are still upto 20mm too long for one of the propsed new frames. How would you go about lowering em? or is this unadvisable?

My ideas so far
 getting a similar size spring but shorter from 'somewhere'
 Chopping the rod

 Or should i just presume the 10-20mm rider loaded sag is enough

See I am retro, the second forks I have owned these!

cheerz :)

i wont do the retrorides thing of punishing you for not googling but as im having a sandwich ill leave it down to you to type in words such as " lowering forks , marzocchi "

im also too lazy to post the pics i have of it done too

I'm really wondering if it will matter anyway, so might leave it and see how it goes.

So if its same bag as Marzocchi fettling the White bros, then I'll take a look. I Know where I can find a Marz how2...

Cheers Chief
