i have had about 20 odd cars, some 15 of them in the past 3yrs!

i used to spend an absolute fortune on them, i had a huge shock when in 2008 i bought a subaru impreza and wrote it off at high speed just 3hrs after driving it away from the dealers

i then went for safety first.......ex police volvo s60 T5........300bhp 8)

24mpg was hard to live with so i now have a sensible volvo v50 2.0 diesel

im happy with mine, never ever thought of one until my mate gave me a lift in his........there a car you dont even notice.

mine now has 95,000 miles on it and i have never had a single problem, cheap to service as lots of the parts are shared with ford.

superb ride and build quality, 140bhp 2.0 engine was doing 48-50mpg on a run, got me 900 miles to germany on £60 of diesel with 4 people and a boot full.

thought it would struggle in the snow, but it is one of the few cars in my street that copes without any problems, despite having low profile alloys etc.

they are not as big as the V70, but are more modern and nicer on the eyes i think.

as a car for covering miles it is superb, 3000 miles last summer in 10 days in europe.....autobahns were its home:
