reducing fork axle to crown length

Dirt Disciple
I'm looking into fitting a Recon U-turn ( 85 - 130 mm. of travel) to an older frame currently running a Manitou SX carbon (70mm. of travel).

Is there a way to lower the fork from its lower setting of another 15 to 20 mm. in order to bring back the geometry to where it was?

maybe , maybe not

I also think that in order to get more sag from a spring loaded U-turn fork a lighter spring should be fitted.

What I'm looking into is a way to lower the stanchions a bit further inside the sliders.

Travel

If you haven't already bought one? Go for the Dual Air versions, as you can play around with the neg and pos air to further adjust the travel easily?
