I'm new to the wonderful world of Campy.

So unlike Shimano, cassettes come without lockrings! And lockrings cost £12+

Are there any alternative manufacturers that are cheaper? £12 seems steep to me.

Lockring is also different for (if I remeber correctly)casettes starting from 11-12 teeth and 13 to larger ones.

There are 3 (Yes 3!) thread sizes

8-speed
Original 9-speed
Later 9/10 speed

And of course the 11/12T versions aswell.

The 11T lockrings were supplied with 11T up cassettes if I recall correctly.
