just found this in a book! 1994 judy sl were £400 irc? thats £520!

but look how far the technology has come! i'm surprised there isn't a knob to change the colour of the sliders!

You said stuff was expensive; my point is that top spec bike stuff is much of a muchness in terms of price. Technology improving goes without saying (although i'd argue that in some ways Judy's were a step backwards from Mag21's).

it was more the point that some people say how can a top end component cost x amount when it only cost y amount 15 years ago! its the old 'i did a weeks shopping for a fiver and still had change to fill the car' (my mum used this on me when she first moved in with my dad in 1965, using the chart thats £66! i could do that now!)

basically you just times an amount from the past by the number on the page and that gives you what it would cost now.

My Z2 bam cost me £450 when it first came out,seems that top forks havent come down in price in the last 10 years ,some of the top fox forks cost near a grand :roll:
