Can't believe you are actually asking...

Leave it, run away, buy Jez's white porcs, they will be a better investment.

Have to say that whenever I have heard a mate say they were buying a car as an investment it has always ended in a loss..

Even if you sell it for £1000 more than you paid for it, you're gonna burn cash getting it on the road [tax, poss. MOT], keeping it on the road [gas, insurance] and then selling it on [advertising it, staying in on a sunny Sunday morning waiting for some guy who never turns up]..

If you want it for fun, for you and because you like it, then go for it. Not for any other reason tho..

..but Goldy Brown.. You gotta really wannit

I'd say no, its too in between, not cool/nice/old enough for the retro ford set and too old for the youngsters buying cars these days. It would be a very small market to sell to. Also they were awful Ford was really at a low ebb at this point.

really ?

itl be 20 years before any mk4 is desireable let alone one without a roof in poo brown

itl however be convienient to cart a couple of bikes around
in the morning drop the roof and place a bike or 2 on the rear seat
drive to destination
lift off bikes
put roof back up

the only cars thatl hold their value in the next couple of years are tax exempt ones ( pre 74 )
