Any thoughts on whether or not I should bother trying to sell anything from it.

Will destroy HDD, but if I can easily sell any of the bits then I will. Suppose the RDRAM might be worth a squid or 2.

TBH I am worried about trashing the bits by not handling them properly and I will prob just skip it...

there is a fair old market for spare dell components.

and supprisingly its not that easy to kill PC parts (not as easy as they say)

best thing to do prior to touching any of the internals make sure you touch the bare metal of the case ALOT!

grounds any static electricity you mite of accumulated.

ive been building my own PCs for years and have yet to kill any part.

most bits just die due to either being poorly made or simply just by getting old.

Just format the drive, stick it in a caddy and use it as an external

agreed.

never destroy a HDD unless it stops working.

storage is storage after all.

(i have nearly 2TB of HDD space spread over 7 HDDs)
