I know there are a few fellow piscators here like me who grew up watching Wilson on telly and will be deeply saddened to hear of his passing.R.I.P.

Learn't lots from Wilson. Don't often get chance to pick up a rid these days but I always remember his stalking of carp in the tightest of swims. Passed in the same week as my dad who was also a fan. Hopefully they are sat on a bank somewhere together chatting and catching.

I'm sure I was watching him on one of his programs in the early nineties, and he landed a large Pike in to his boat, and it broke his rod, and he uttered the great line "that just about takes the bloody biscuit". I loved watching his shows itd.
