I stopped using smartphones a few years back as they were so fragile, however,I miss google maps,a decent camera and the ability to take a pic and email immediately.Anyone recommend a rugged smartphone that doesnt cost the earth?I wont be using it for much so it doesnt have to be high end but it does need to be waterproof/shockproof and have good battery performance.Something like this in the link?

The one in the link would probably be fine. Or this might be a little better: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07D5XJ2BJ/ ... B07FCN61P8.

Thanks,I was looking at that Blackview and it seems to tick all the boxes.I checked on ebay and the same phone is under various guises with differing prices.

Re:

Not necessarily a cheap option, but after using a Samsung galaxy s5 for nearly 5 years, I recently upgraded to an s9. No complaints and I've taken it underwater and it really is waterproof. A rugged ish case and a hard tempered glass screen protector will keep it safe. I got a very good deal on 3, free phone and more gb of data than I'll ever need for less than most networks do 4gb for (I get something like 25 or 30).
