Early Bugattis, blower Bentleys, 30s Alfa Romeos, 50/60 Ferraris, Maseratis, Jags & Astons do it for me. The Art Deco styling of some of the 30s cars still blows me away. Suicide doors anyone ?

Ever been to the Schlumpf collection at the Cite de l'automobile in Mulhouse?

Amazing story, and probably the biggest collection of working classic cars in the world, 500+ displayed over 17,000 m2 to date:

All the best,

Been there a couple of years ago with my brother and dad. On the first day we went to the Porsche museum, the second to BMW and the third to this one. It was a good mix. Normally three days in a row of driving and watching cars is too much for me but this was a great trip. If you're ever somewhere near Stuttgart then the Mercedes museum is also worth a visit.

Considering Le Mans, I've always been a fan of the sixties Ferrari's and seventies Porsches. And the 1988 Dumfries/Wallace/Lammers Jaguar ofcourse, as I'm a Dutchman.

By the way, Carroll Shelby won at Le Mans with Aston Martin. I never knew that. A great achievement, which makes the later succes with the Cobra even more special. It all took place in a few years time.
Here's a link to a very nice documentary about Shelby:
