Old Goretex jacket

Ive an 18 year old Goretex jacket and I reproof it every 2 years with the cheap Aldi spray,its holding up well and still keeping me dry but its letting water in slightly around the base of the hood where the sealing striptape has come undone.Is there a fix?Can it be retaped successfully(on the cheap)?

Nice one,that looks good.2 days ago I used Aquasure to reseal the tape down onto the seams.Its used to repair neoprene wetsuits and fishing waders but after applying carefully and leaving it 24hrs to cure I used the jacket today and got soaked after being caught in a 2 hour deluge.

Tenacious Tape or Goretex Repair tape . But - at 18 years old the fabric may be shot. The neck area is often exposed to body oils. Maybe worth giving it a couple of washes in non detergent cleaner like Nikwax Techwash then reproof in Nikwax TX Direct. That'll restore the DWR.
