Hi folk, I'm having a mare trying to upload pics on here after many years of relying on Picresize.com which from my end has apparently broken?
I have spent an hour or so trying the alternatives that come up on google searches but none I find have the option of limiting file size to 512kb which is great for on here. I can use a hosting site but then how do I get a pic on the page of my subject topic without a link? My little brain if spent. I like bikes...not computers. Can anyone please help?

I just resize the photo using a free app on my phone that does it in seconds and dead easy, called something cryptic like photo editor. on the pc I use paint to resize the image. That way I can upload direct to here and no messing with dead links and redirections.

Or just upload it to a third party hosting site and hope it doesn't go all photobucket on you.

Sounds like you have sorted it now.

I always use this, it integrates into windows and you just right click on any pic and the drop down menu will now have an added option to resize it, really simple, quick and effective. Makes copies of the pics if you want at same time :)

I've just been using Microsoft paint as that's all I have available on my old laptop.

Simply open the photo up in paint, then click resize, choose 20% or whatever you can "get away" with uploading (depends on how big the file is).

I think it does sap quite a bit of image quality though doing it that way.
