Anyone use Hand / Wind Deflectors?

It's starting to get a bit chilly out there in the morning's on my way to work.

Thinking of wind deflectors for winter.

I've got Raynaud's syndrome, so even in 10+ degree's the wind chill makes my fingers either extremely painful or just totally numb, seemingly regardless of what hand attire I am donning (I've got all manner of gloves, and some of those lobster claw thingy's).

You can make your own;

Or buy them (bit steep);

I know they will all be pretty unattractive, but the cold does cause me quite a lot of discomfort so I think it's worth a try.

Anyone tried these? Share your thoughts.

Kind Regards,

I've a pair of Neoprene gloves and was really unimpressed with them, despite some rave reviews about how good they were.

I reckon those hand covers would be significantly better than the gloves I own however, ideally, I want something that deflects the wind entirely eg, plastic.

I'll still have to wear big gloves, mind, but hoping my hands will warm up as my body does, with no interference from wind-chill.

I used the free plastic gloves available from diesel pumps under my normal gloves for riding my scoot through English winters. Better still combine them with mits.

I might try a pair of these and see how I go.

Not convinced by the "pogies" for me. Surely they're just massive warm gloves? Which wouldn't necessarily work for me.

Wait till you exert your self on a bike especially in winter the condensation/moisture will be ferocious.

Yeah they do work possibly to well in British winters these days. You usually use a light weigh gloves as well with the Pogies.
