The Preseli Mountains are my saviour

Over the years I've lived here in Pembrokeshire the Preseli have stood there, a blasted wild and less touched by humankind.
I've escaped to them many times, by foot and bike I've wandered.
Times being lost in thoughts as dog and I have care less space without need or path, gazing longingly northwards as slight shapes of my home mountains of Snowdonia seep through the clouds between us.

I'm moving away from my sea cliff top home of 15 years & though closer I am to be surrounded by farmland with a mere glimpse of the highest hill top taken from a bathroom window.

My stabled workshop is to be left behind a promising log cabin to be built to house my tools and life giving equipment, & my beloved wood burner will once again travel to a new home with its greatful careful owner, a momento of his time in war and the day he stepped forward.

All things have to change, the continuous problem and feeling that though reasons be good my heart will ache.

I stood on the Southern ice bound continent, felt Life and free.
