There are probably more than you think found like that, nice photos though.
I've seen a few come in that sort of condition, mice in the engines, nests etc.
A bit of work by an enthusiast and it'll be up and running.

What I`d do is rebuild the engine without tarting/polishing,do some rust preventative work on the body,upgrade the brakes and drive it as is,although chances are it will just be another over restored gleaming E-Type.
