As some might know I work on the railway, I wouldn't recommend doing what this chap has done.

Why do they say he's a cyclist?? Was he carrying his bike down stairs and running. Was he riding it?

I'm given to understand that he rode his bike down the stairs onto the platform and couldn't stop, went off the platform onto the rails...

That's how I understood but I could be wrong
