In this day and age, does a middle aged man really have to "prove" himself against a dumb animal ? I would give him his bow and arrow and parachute him into the middle of ISIS in Syria and let him prove himself there...

I totally agree this man should be thrown to the lions. He is the only dumb animal in this story.

He also lives in the land of the serial killer.

Having met a few Dentists from Minnesota then that's sadly par for the course

maybe it would have been better if he had taken up flying first then nature would have taken its course!

I still do not understand why we in the west send millions in charity money and donations to protect the animals, then the very same countries we send the money too, sell licences to hunt and kill the very same animals they are meant to be saving?

Like it or not,without hunting interests the species hunted would be further endangered.I remember seeing a Theroux documentary on African hunting.There are breeding populations specifically for the hunters that are closely monitored and protected.Why anyone would want to hunt a lion to prove themselves is pathetic though.
