Someone do the maths but to play the lps at 33 rpm you need to be doing about 2 mph. A quick calc for 26 in is 2.5 mph so seems my guess was in the right balkpark.

I reckon even I could keep up 2.5 mph for long enough to play the whole side of an LP.
