just been googling this and image search came up with this:

anyone ventured into this realm yet?

whats the verdict on kids fat bikes so far?

is there any sort of frame you can build up to do a 'fat bike' style build for kids with?
e.g. a kids frame you can fit trials bike tyres on to...??
i think my boy would really respond well to a bike with big tyres - probably more forgiving than the horrid stabilisers he deals with at the moment.

want to entice him off them as he loves his balance bike, but i need something thats a happy medium so he can get to grips with pedalling and riding.

Re:

Fat bike here as well as conventional

£500 seems a big risk for something that might last only a few months and you will lose a huge chunk on resale

You don't mention your kids age/size but if smaller would this be something like this be a better dipping the toe in the waters

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sonic-Bulk-20 ... 1c4fcd35da there are quite a few to choose from in the fat bike search of ebay

I did see those and while they look ok, I was wondering if they could be swapped/interchanged for more exciting parts, not keen on those tyres, would like something more knobbly!
My eldest is 4, and I'll no doubt be passing it down to his younger brother later on, so it'll get its use....
