I was on short (80km) ride today (You know the one,You try to cover 51km in two hours...) and towards end I managed to catch rider on road bike.
I was too tired to overtake him, so I just hanged behind him doing 30km/h.
Then he blow his nose to both sides, so I tried and overtake him. I was really feeling weak as I didn't take any food nor water with me. He then overtake me back and saying something, that I didn't understand.
Showing here mine inexperience, but, is there any proper way to approach rider in front of You?

if you're going to sit on someone's wheel for any distance it's only polite to ask "mind if I sit in for a while"

The last time i did this was 1980 on the Thurmaston bipass. It got me an invite to Saffron Lane on a club night where I was shown up and humiliated by all.

Happy days. Roadies eh?
