Not seen the film yet but one of the characters uses a Sony TPS-L2 tape player, the first Walkman.

Now, since the film came out, prices for these things have sky rocketed. Even the original headphones have gone nuts (Sony MDR 3L2) fetching almost as much as the players were a few years ago.

So, is it time to sell while the going is good or hang on to it - incidentally, the pic shows it next to my Sony WM-D6C which is also just as valuable at present.

Mine is a pre-walkman model, heres how it appears in the film

Sell it. It's redundant sh£te that will fall in value again very shortly.

Anybody want to buy a Sony minidisc recorder?

Unfortunately mp3 is where its at ... so strike whikst the iron is hot.

Any body want to buy a portable cd player?

Minidisc would have taken over the world but for memory players, in its death throes there was even a large capicity 1 gb ? md invented..

i say sell it and put the money in your pocket or into something else.

*fack!* why did someone have to bring up minidisc. i bought into that stoopid crap that went obsolete fast! a mini home stereo, a portable player and even a stink'n car deck that's brand new in box i never got around to installing.

I ignored minidisc and stayed with DAT.

24bit 48khz quality over quantity.

Anyway, Walkman is sold and off to Germany.
