Today-Tuesday-A pleasant 80 F. after 90 F. weather for the past week. A local ride with blue skies today...

Not a bike, well yes it's a bike. Not retro, well yes it's retro. :D

Picked up this yesterday on a whim. Hence the recent sales. 1984 GT550 with 12000 miles on the clock. I'm the third owner. Had done 200 miles since 2012. Recommissioned with minimal fuss. This was yesterday evening. Managed 130 miles of 'getting to know you' pootling. Meet Gertie, the other woman in my life.

Oh and if anybody wants any kittens, Mrs HM has just had some.


Lavender at Snowshill about 6 miles from me.

Today-Wednesday-Warm out, about 80 F. Yes, THM that is a Retrobike-pretty clean, too. I have more miles on my 10 year old MTB than it, at this point :) A nice day for a ride, getting stronger, too...

Went for a nice ride with my daughter again today 8)

We went into Chatsworth grounds along the top avoiding all the tourists. First suprise of the day was an Aston parked down a green lane, one i usually ride on the KTM, and which is a very rough track :shock: even more of a suprise was the fact it still had the keys in, all the lights were on and the driver was nowhere to be seen. We waited around for a while but no one returned. Wasnt there on way back though, very nice car :)

The next suprise was the first lake we reached, totally dry :shock: in all the years i have been going to the lake i have never seen it dry. The next lake, a bit bigger, still had a bit of water in the middle of it, dry around the edges though.

We then rode along to the hunting tower and a bite to eat, great views down into Chatsworth.

After that it was a nice easy ride back through the woods and up along the top ridge back to the car. Great day even though it was very hot again 8)
