Today-Wednesday-Back on the bike today after being laid low with a bout of shingles since last Friday. It's supposed to last about 10 days, but I can't just lay around anymore-feels great to ride and get my sore muscles moving again. Not a long ride, but I did throw in the steepest street in Fairfax on the way home, ( 30% grade ) and climbed it OK... :)

Get well soon Pat! Shingles are a right pain, I remember they knocked my Dad out - who like you is as fit as a fiddle - for weeks, so take it easy. Keep on the fluids ;-)

After fitting a TB P2 fork, aheadset and moots stem to my 9x Ti Fighter this Sunday morning, I went for a ride to test it out. Its a typical overcast grey day for mid Autumn down here in NZ.

Off to the local tourist cycle path...Matakana, Auckland NZ

and down to Omaha beach...was a bit windy and overcast - no swimming today!

then in to Pt Wells and Whangateau harbour, I live on the other side of the flats (2 km away) but unfortunately the channel is too deep to cross even at low tide...

Rides great!

I love NZ, beautiful place and lots of riding.
It is getting kind of cool in Sydney now too.

Pre breakfast, pre family early morning blast today. Few people about, the first sign of life were a small herd of deer!

Thank goodness for the albino one, or you wouldn't have seen any!
Camera had no memory card in it, so had to use the phonecamera. The phone, that is, that was showing a low battery warning!

Through Angmering Park Estate, saw a low flying buzzard here, marvellous!

Along with a few bluebells,

Heading out into open ground now, for the rest of the ride, I'd forgotten how comfortable this bike is! 8)

So a couple of scenic shots for you now,

Then I finally found the timer on the phone!

HELLO!

Nice to see the Sun shining for the latter part of the ride!

Back home for some breakfast!

1 1/2hrs of blissful, quiet trails!

Enjoy your Easter Sunday, retro folks!

Mike
