I don't know if the race is not taken seriously over here, or if someone somewhere has offended the press, but I am amazed at the almost complete lack of coverage of the Tour of California, mostly because Cav won two stages and Brad Wiggins won a stage and overall victory.

I knew the final results Sunday evening, because I have been watching the daily updates on the race site and also the Team Sky news feed, but it appears several of the bigger cycling sites I visit are completely unaware or disinterested.

Shame.

Should make for an 'interesting' TdF.

Did you see Wiggins powering up Mount Diablo - incredible - really incredible.

Re:

It was a great race this year, with all the top pro teams sending a squad. They showed the last 2 hours of each day's stage on live TV in the afternoon. I really enjoyed watching it this year. Cav beat John Degenkolb by a hair on each of the two stages he won, and Wiggo was dominant after the time trial...

The race was live on British Eurosport every night and highlights shown the following day so hardly lack of coverage. It was a great race
Also Steephill TV website had detailed coverage and video footage.
