Doblo number one dies on the A14 with no hardshoulder to crawl over to. Missus almost disappears down an embankment after getting behind the barrier.

AA man says the EGR valve got stuck blocking the DPF. Car now dead but outside the house and lady Home and snug.

Doblo number two - just about to pull away in Woburn Sands when the gear lever went all floppy (quiet you!). First real breakdown in four years/ 80,000 miles so it is forgiven

Dead Doblo number two waiting for AA.

Luckily I am outside a chippy...

Re: two doblos in one day...

Can you make one good Doblo out of two broken ones?

Re: two doblos in one day...

one doblo fixed! gear linkage had popped off. fixed with hammer and metal pole - my kinda style.

does that mean more hand injuries then and another thread?

Re: two doblos in one day...

ah the hammer, the only tool you'll ever need. if that can't fix it, it's not worth fixing

Re: two doblos in one day...

Did it have worn bushings? I think our Subaru needs one or two new ones, and possibly tranny mounts. Ironically the name of my favourite cross dressing porn star.

Re: two doblos in one day...

it needed packing out before it was whacked wiv 'ammer. If I'd of known this I would have had it fixed in a jiffy. But, I'll know if it happens again.

Second Doblo is in a digital funk of too many error codes preventing the engine from firing. Might have a go at clearing codes and forcing it to run until it or I gives up...

EGR valve - engine killer

DPF filter - badly engineered chuff and great money spinner for breakdown companies.
