okay so in my signature at the bottom of my posts i have the name of my past bikes followed by a link to a thread for each. ive seen that other members have the link behind the name of the bike (so you just click on 1994 zaskar for example and it takes you to that page) my question is, how do you do this? looks much tidier

hope that makes sense :LOL:

For this...

:: 1993 Diamondback Sorrento :: 1990 Haro Extreme :: 1999 Specialized Hemi PRO ::1998 Stumpjumper M2 ::

Copy and paste this into your signature...

Code:
:: [url=http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=240268]1993 Diamondback Sorrento[/url] :: [url=http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=227003]1990 Haro Extreme[/url] :: [url=http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=96560]1999 Specialized Hemi PRO[/url] ::[url=http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=146247]1998 Stumpjumper M2[/url] ::

It can also be done with images as with my signature.
The code for that is...

Code:
[url=http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=279972][img]http://www.drystonepaul.com/Retrobike/Papa-Lazarou-bikes.png[/img][/url]

You can also keep coloured text too...

1993 Scott Team Racing

So that'd be...
Code:
[url=http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=272277][color=#00FF00]1993 Scott Team Racing[/color][/url]

Basically, open the url tag and paste in the full link (url=......) and then make sure you close the tags (/url). But use square brackets rather than rounded ones.

All good, just keep all those signatures to 6 lines or less so that posts aren't drowned in a sea of bike lists.
Signature guidance is here: --> http://www.retrobike.co.uk/wiki/Retrobi ... Conditions

Hi Paul ,

Thanks for your help , will give it a go when I get a chance . And I don't plan on more than six lines :LOL:
However , I've only been on the forum a year , and I have 3 1/2 mtbs more than I had before :facepalm:
