Good evening all,

I am having a beer tonight, thinking of my youth = all your fault!!!! Anyways, as i get older i don't seem to be able to meet the government guidelines for drinking. When i was a lot younger i drank a lot, i held a couple of records -

1. Pint of vodka - 1 min 21 secs (2 independent timers - and not Ross McQuirter unfortunately)
2. 26 vods (Irish measures) in 2 hours 30 mins on a Sunday night

Both the above caused me some problems - mainly relating to use of my legs afterwards but it is all done now and they are distant memories.

Any other mad drinking memories?

Our club drink: gin, Pernod, and a dash of lemonade nice.

Was a member of drunk club.

1st rule of Drunk club was you don't talk about drunk club.
As was the 2nd.
The 3rd rule was 2 drinks to a drunk, 1 in each hand
4th rule was to be thrown out of every bar we drank in, without being barred (harder than it sounds)

I have far too many serious drinking stories to throw in here.

45 and counting, and I have not been arrested for the last eight.

My line on re entering my local from which I surmised I might be banned was, "Six double Bell's and a straight jacket when you're ready Carl".

Well done on the last 8!! I am a year ahead of you!!!!

I have a relation called the quaddy voddy man - he is serious about vod - 12 in 20 mins and he walks to the next pub!

I am not surprised he walks into the next pub.

Were he sober he might use the door.

LOL Pure genius!!! Don't get into rounds with him - that is my top tip - it cost me so much you have no idea in 15 mins!!! LOL

two litre bottles of cheap spanish vodka when I was dj-ing at a party

dont drink much now.

12 days without a beer so far.

16 stellas, 4 G&Ts and I drove on to the next pub - yes, was very, very stupid.

Sunday morning update - Carlsberg is not as severe as Peroni the morning after - lucky me!

I've never seen the point in drinking games. I physically cringe when rugger bugger types start their homoerotic competitive pish.

It makes you less attractive, less sexually capable and less rich. And done in the main to impress other men. The Glasgow University Union was bad for it. Heavy batty.

Needless to say I've never been arrested for not unable to hold my drink. But then I can drink half a bottle of vodka and parallel park no bother.
