Some may have seen it last night where guy martin a motorcycle tt legend took on a speed challenge and this one was on a bicycle aiming for 112 mph, interestingly he had rourkes build him such a bike to take the 20 plus year record

He was flippin amazing - and he must be hard as nails or as mad as a box of frogs, I'm not sure

And how fast could he have gone if he'd been on tarmac and not sand?

Hmmm I really like guy and the program was great viewing ....

Don't really agree a land speed recorded "fastest cyclist " can be when towed up to speed by a truck? EVEN if it wasn't up to full speed it certainly was best part of it leaving him to turn it over on the big gear. Don't get me wrong balls of steel for sure and a great feat.

Now don't get me wrong, I like Mr Martin but the the concept is a load of old tosh.

The land speed record should not include the lorry and a tow in my opinion. It should be made using your god given guns alone.

How many of us are fit enough to do this given the money and a truck I ask.

Meh.... is all I can say.
