as for arty nudes....
for me, and i'm referring to the female form,
nude, or semi nude shots i struggle to find arty when they are in colour,
i do think however some nude shots in black and white can look very arty.
not really a definitive answer though is it, sorry!
i guess it's all in the eye of the beholder!

Erotic art is as old as art itself, all new media experiment an push the envelope as far as they can photography is no exception, I think as long as too much is not exposed it is pretty harmless
