great stuff - what is there not to like?

painted using air brush?
I see the transfers do not appear to be glossy, as they were back in the day when I was a yoof making these up - did you spray them with matt clear varnish or are matt these days?

I do a gloss coat on the model so the decals lay flat and don't 'silver' then clear matt is applied over the entire model.

The small aircraft are all hand brushed with a final spray clear matt lacquer to seal in the model/decals bigger aircraft are airbrushed for a far neater job.

Very nice. :D 8)
I have to say the paint jobs are really super, the matt coating really looks good too. My son and I do a few of these but the paint jobs would be too embarrasing to post up here!

I rarely wander this far down the forum but these are truly stunning, I have an unmade 1/48 Tamiya Lancaster (Dambuster version), that I'd happily pay you to build to this standard.

Love the EK diorama too, I have an old timer friend who lives on the"aerodrome"at EK.

Jon.

What beautiful models! Lovely to see the model of Just Jane - and I recommend a trip to East Kirkby to anyone who hasn't been to see the original. I'll have to show your pics to my dad who is a life long aero-modeller and has a huge collection.
