Blondie - One Way or Another

Just watching this having recorded it earlier in the week.

Brings back some memories, especially all of us having posters of Debbie Harry on our bedroom walls when we were 12/13!

Good to see clips of The Ramones and contributions from Iggy too.

my first lust was young Debbie. had all their albums

She was the most amazing alluring one for me too.

No-one seemed to care she was the same age as our Mothers at the time!

First time I saw her was on the telly singing 'Denis' when I was staying at my Uncles in Derbyshire; he was Rector for the then mining village of Clowne if anyone knows it.

Anyway, whoever was presenting announced Blondie and the next thing you knew this stunning blonde bird was centre screen in all her glory!

I actually felt really sorry for Debbie Harry at the end of the documentary when she voiced over the credits saying how it must have made her look really stupid! :?

I got the impression that despite all the hype that goes with the industry she was actually a really nice person...

...Toyah Willcox was the other one who did for me; saw her fronting Girlschool at the Waterfront in Norwich around '91. OMG!

I recorded that... best thing on (by miles) was Roxette by Dr Feelgood!

What was Debbie Harry wearing though!

not everyone could pull off wearing a bin bag but she managed it. got a couple of albums on vinyl
