Check just above the first post in those threads, just below the "new topic" and "post reply" buttons. If there's an "unsubscribe topic" link there, you must have accidentally clicked the "subscribe topic" one earlier.
As for getting rid of all those subsrciptions, go to your User CP.
The second link in the left-hand column is "manage subscriptions". Click that, select whichever threads you don't want the notifications from, click the "unwatch marked" button and voila !
