Let em loose on Salisbury Plain and let the army chase them down. Scum.

Happy to have the democracy and freedom that this soft country allows them, but also happy to use the feudal animalistic ways of their "home" territories.

Killing these people makes martyrs of them. And that's what they wanted surely!

They wanted the authorities to do something monstrous to them so that they could bring some moderate muslims over to their side.

Killing them is doing them a favour.

All you can do with this scum is treat them fairly and show your society is better than theirs.

Then, once the fuss has died down, and with no publicity - "lose" the key. Accidentally on purpose.

Best suggestion ive heard in a long time.

Better still - Stick them in a cell with YOU chopper :P

That would involve Chopper being held in a cell.

Let us see how things unfold before we get carried away with call for the death penalty being reintroduced.

How on earth would that work as a deterrent?

It is salient to note that the abolition of the death penalty is nothing to do with Human Rights.

I guess that could mean the killed and the killers.

The hunger for blood seems most in the bloodless.

It won't work a a deterrent, but it prevents re offending.

The death penalty still exists in law for treason, and arson in a naval dockyard came off the books in th late 90's, but even if it hadnt it can never be exercised because the ECHR is higher law than British statute law.

The ECHR is wonderful in protecting the human rights of people that don't respect the human rights of the innocent, and woefully impotent in protecting those morally deserving of it.

Make use of them, lets have Gulags in remote places where the weathers crap but we have lots of rock to break with hand tools for a variety of reasons. Much of good old Scotland fits the bill, a unpopulated island in the outer hebrides where the wind never stops and summer is an interesting but unproven concept. Living there all the time can break the strongest spirit.
Not in favour of death penalty because there will alway be mistakes, but also feel prison should mean something and life sentences should be life.
