I've been using Photobucket, pretty spammy and tacky but used to work, it's been progressively revamped beyond all usefulness just of late

So I signed up for image shack but I don't like the interface it requires a lot more clicks to get any stuff done, although it does appear to work which is rather a novelty

Any other suggestions form anyone?

Good question! I'm looking to leave photobucket.

The first and only pic hosting site I have been using is Photobucket and I think it is now seedy and less user friendly.

Its less user friendly now for various reasons. Its a PITA to upload, the indexing of pics is tempermental, the Img Codes are a mile long, some of the links don't work if you click on them...

WHY the tacky soft porn dating ads!??? Is it being ran by a load of pervy fat middle aged men thinking that is the only market they need to appeal to is pervy fat middle aged men? (not us then ;) ) Can't they harvest advertising monies from more family friendly sources and therefore not rule out the non pervy fa....(you get my point)

Rant over..

Haha! Yep all the same gripes I have!

Image shack does do the job, so in the absence of any alternative, give that a shot?

Yeah why not.

I will feedback to PB as to why they are as Crap as wet toast. As soon as I find a viable alternative I'm gone.

I use both although only use Photobucket for mobile uploads.

I've used Imageshack for years but I still find glitches quite often (uploaded a previously rotated pic the other day and IS rotated back as per the original and I can't get it to save it the right way around  )
Does the job though

i must admit i feel the same about this, i used to use photobucket, but when i got this Mac it was set up to use flikr and i did find it easier to use but since then i have noticed that sometimes the pictures sort of expire, meaning that if i post the image codes on a thread, then 6 months later look at that thread sometimes the images are gone saying that either the link doesn't work or i have deleted the picture (which i haven't).

Photo bucket on windows platforms is now un-usable IMO
But on apple products its a dream ,click click done

Flikr... Yeah I'd forgotten about them, good shout

That's a pretty big name...

Well, I signed with my Gmail ID

I uploaded an image to play with - And found I'd already used it - there were two images already there! Gah! What a sieve-head I am!

Beats me where the forum/BB/img codes can be found though!

So image shack seems to be the best candidate so far

when i use flikr, i just copy the link from where it says 'share' just above the picture i want.

i like the way it works just not that it seems to lose pictures every now and then.

Oh yeah, that did work

I clicked 'Share' Then clicked 'Grab the HTML/BBCode'

Chose 'BB code' which generated the longest BB code string I have ever seen! Did work though!

Seems obvious when someone tells you the answer!
