Saying "absolutely" instead of "Yes" - No need
 
using literally and then a metaphor

or

........he was literally flying down the road.............no clearly not as people can't fly :evil:

oh, and people who confuse metaphors, similes, idioms, etc
 
Around here its the adding of 'Ay' to the end of any sentence, ay !

What is the point, in Scotland the majority of us do not speak gaelic, we speak English which generally does not involve ending sentences with a vocal full stop or possibly its an afirmative like say Germans speaking English might say, yes !

I wuz rantin oan the computer, ay an tellin aw they english fowk aboot this use o ay, ay, ye ken whit a mean, ay !

Aaaaaarrrrrrgggggg, accents fine, but enough of the pointless AY !!!!!!!!
 
As work in an Rc model car store and we get some great ones .

" the customer is always right " even when they are clearly not

" it must be covered by warranty " when the front end no longer exists

There are some classics that people come out with on a daily basis
 
'productionise'... used by people at work to describe the process of taking a product from development/testing into full production.

Sounds wrong, I hate it.
