When a compliment is an insult

Seems a storm in a teacup to me...

If I didn't know better, and I do, I'd almost think this was career suicide.

When did politicians become so feckless that they cannot deal with a simple compliment any more, yet can truly be ineffectual about true complaint?

I get the point that some will make, I just refute it - it always seems the wrong people rap on about the glass ceiling and I could almost think they want the attention.

Obviously a Lesbian...

Yeah. Hot as well as good looking.

This will just roll over Obama, he is a man as well as a president.

It is not as though he took his cigar to her.

So what's the etiquette for complimenting a woman on her looks? Seems a minefield to me...
"I like your jumper. Is it Angora?"
then stroke it with the back of your hand...

It is very simple. You do not remark on one of your employee's looks, unless they ask you to.

Obama made a mistake. Shite happens to the best of us.

It was an innocent remark, and he has noted the implications and apologised.

Hardly Watergate.

Who'd play Deep Throat.

Sorry, but the thread took us there...
