Not a bad thought, there. I haven't read any horror stories, some of them perform quite nicely, and you seem to get a lot for your money.

@Stevo - interesting suggestion. Not quite feeling the 300c + bit out of budget really.
@Grinder - surely the is200 is more 3 series size?

Well that sounds like fun rather than idiocy.

With winter round the corner I would be looking at some form of all wheel drive at the minimum.
