I have to say I do make stupid mistakes, really very stupid ones but I have studied English, maths,biology and chemistry to A Level went to university I gave up in the second cus I hated the uni I had chosen. My hubby has a maths degree and number crunches at work but can make the most stupid maths mistakes imaginable 
I don't think you can judge a person on the mistakes they make after a few beers
