i go with the obvious, bale of cash/weed. of course living 40 mils from the nearest beach significantly reduces the odds of that happening, but at least a man can dream.

Not on the beach, but in pre-Euro days whilst on holiday in Cyprus I did spot a £5 (I think it was 5) note floating in the sea whilst out for a swim, which made a useful contribution to that evening's drinks.

I found a cock and balls on the beach at Ardgour. Maybe "found" isn't the right word, my friend drew it while we were waiting for the ferry to arrive.

Some jet - http://www.yorkshirecoastfossils.co.uk/what is whitby jet.htm - 2 lots actually, near Whitby and Staithes. I once found a sea-horse in a rock pool, and a lobster, also in Staithes. I love rock-pooling.
