I don't know if this has been done but could not find anything with search.

What was your first car and was it your most loved.

After I passed my test I bought a Citroen 2CV. It is the most fun I've ever had in a car, it was just crazy and going round corners was madness. If I was to have one of my cars again though it would have to be my Volvo 850 T5 estate, went like a rocket and fitted all the children too.

First car was a 1978 Signal yellow MK2 Escort 4 door with a host of go faster bits.
I loved that car until the crank exited through the sump on the ringwood bypass, well within the speed limit officer  . I managed to coast into the carpark at Stoneycross and phoned my dad to come and get me which he did from 30 miles away, bless him.
We went back out in the morning with a nice big tow rope but some git had burnt her out during the night :(
With the insurance money i bought a 1981 Mini 1000 in royal blue with a union jack painted on the roof, it was cool but not the same :(

My first four wheel vehicle was a Fergie tractor. My dad gave it to me on the condition I maintained it. Quite clever actually, because it made me keen as mustard to do any jobs I could use it for! Before I got my license I had a number of 'bangers' for use in the hills and such, my favourite was a Lada Niva my uncle had retired. It could get up and over just about anything.
Quite fancy one again.

The first Beetle I recovered and put back on the road is probably the car I loved the most.

1st: Range Rover 3ltr Diesel. Big ass sound system, 11 person rave mobile. Club Kinetic fave.
Best: BMW E30 325i EVO. Speedy little go kart
Current: Insignia 1.9tcdi, the slow one, company car. Boo.

Mk.1 Ford Fiesta with a 957cc engine in a minging orangey pink colour. Bloody loved it, even drove it to Barcelona. Sold it to my sisters boyfriend who rolled it within a week, i cried. Next up was a 1959 VW Splitty but that's a whole other story.

I think it was about £1600, 3rd party only, limited annual miles.
Not a lot compared to todays yoof's quotes.

1959 Morris Traveller. Restored it and went to shows with it. As time passed work and women got in the way so it ended up with the registration number was worth more than the vehicle.
